How to Use Mandrel Bits & Sanding Bands
Master your e-file prep with this essential guide. Our mandrels are available in both 3/32" (Standard) and 1/8" sizes to fit your specific handpiece.

1. Choose Your Grit

Coarse (80 Grit): Heavy-duty removal of acrylics or hard gels.

Medium (100ā120 Grit): Shaping enhancements and surface prep.

Fine (150ā180 Grit): Refining shapes and smoothing surfaces.
-
Extra Fine (240+ Grit): Gentle natural nail prep and final finishing.
2. Quick Instructions
-
Insert Mandrel: Place the metal rod into your handpiece and lock it securely.

Attach Band: Slide the sanding band onto the mandrel until it is snug and flush.

Set Speed: Use low speeds for natural nails and higher speeds for artificial enhancements.

Technique: Apply light pressure using short, even motions. Never stay in one spot to avoid heat build-up ("Rings of Fire").

Single-Use Only: Discard the sanding band after every client. Sanding bands cannot be sanitized.

Sanitize Mandrel: Always disinfect the metal mandrel bit between services.

Fit Check: Ensure you are using the correct mandrel size (3/32" or 1/8") for your machine to prevent vibration or damage to the motor.
